If you’ve been following Containment Crew or Silverfox Industries on social media, you may have noticed their hints about new, brightly colored gear, cryptic shades, and “infection outbreaks.” Some fans even cracked the clues early and snagged Super Early Bird deals on Kickstarter.
Today marks the official launch of the SCRD Kickstarter!
This line of colorful tactical gear brings back a sense of humor to foam-flinging, a refreshing change from the standard dark gear used in airsoft, paintball, or tactical foam setups. Let’s face it—we’re adults playing with foam blasters, so why not show it and embrace the fun?
Level One Complete!
On launch day, SCRD hit its initial funding goal! Now, it’s all about unlocking more (and goofier) stretch goals.
Initially, the gear will come in orange or blue, but as more goals are reached, backers can unlock new colors, starting with purple and pink. Judging by the color patterns teased, red might follow.
Some stretch goals are just for fun, like “Ryan and Charles Drag Bobololo to Endwar” and “Ryan and Charles Pick Each Other’s Endwar Loadouts.”
If funding reaches $25,000, they’ve promised a 2025 Nerfers calendar—complete with goofy, nerdy, and probably embarrassing photos! Plenty of people are already committed to helping with the calendar if that goal is met, including yours truly.
