Nerf Fortnite is a Hasbro brand that offers a variety of products, including more than just blasters.
The brand was created to support the promotion of Fortnite, an online multiplayer game developed by Epic Games in 2017 that has gained significant popularity.
The Nerf Fortnite series is based on a specific theme and does not incorporate new functions, features, or technology. The blasters in the series are themed weapons that utilize existing Nerf technology.
The Fortnite series is not particularly popular among hardcore Nerf fans. Still, it does have a following among fans of the game Fortnite and those who appreciate the unique design of Nerf Fortnite guns. Some of the guns do have an appealing appearance.
Fortnite Dart
The Fortnite series features a new dart called the Fortnite dart, although it doesn’t bring any revolutionary technology.
However, it should be noted that this dart is not a new design. It is essentially an Elite dart with a different color scheme to align with the Fortnite theme. The body of the dart is blue, and the dart head is colored purple.
Furthermore, the Fortnite Mega dart was introduced for the Fortnite Mega sub-series.
However, it is identical to a Mega dart, with the only difference being its color scheme of orange and purple.

Naming Convention
The names of the individual Nerf Fortnite blasters may appear cryptic, but abbreviations like “AR-L” and “SMG-E” have specific meanings.
The letters preceding the dash indicate the firearm type of the video game. For instance, AR represents Assault Rifle, and SMG represents Sub Machine Gun.
The letter following the dash indicates the rarity, consistent with the nature of the gameplay. In the given examples, L denotes Legendary, while E denotes Epic.
It is worth noting that not all Nerf Fortnite blasters follow this naming convention, although most do, which adds an element of enjoyment.

Here is a list of seven top Nerf Fortnite guns that you may want to consider adding to your Nerf collection.
1. Nerf Fortnite SMG-E
The 2020 Nerf Fortnite SMG-E is a semi-automatic blaster with a flywheel system. It has a six-dart magazine and the option to replace it with a higher-capacity N-Strike version.
The Fortnite SMG-E is equipped with a flywheel system that requires pulling the acceleration trigger to power the flywheels, and then using the firing trigger to fire the darts.
The firing mechanism of the SGM-E is smooth and offers good performance. It is important to note that the Fortnite SMG-E requires 4 AA batteries, which are not included.

2. Nerf Fortnite SP-L (Yellow Nerf Blasters)
The Nerf Fortnite SP-L is a yellow Nerf blaster, spring-powered, sidearm pistol-style blaster that features a slide-action priming system and a detachable barrel, giving it a unique appearance. The barrel does not affect its performance; it simply adds to the aesthetic appeal of the gun.
This yellow Nerf blaster is spring-powered and can hold three Fortnite (or Elite) darts in its magazine. It is designed for single-fire use, which is typical for a pistol-style blaster.
The abbreviation SL stands for Suppressed Pistol.

3. Nerf Fortnite 6-SH
The 6-SH is ranked third in the list of best Nerf Fortnite guns. It has a hammer-action revolver-style and can fire up to six darts. The cylinder-style magazine makes it effortless to load.
The large barrel is packaged separately and once attached, it is not meant to be removed and replaced. This is different from the SP-L, which does have a detachable barrel.
The firing with the 6-SH, despite the hammer action mechanism, is relatively easy and smooth, but its performance is somewhat lacking.

4. Nerf Fortnite BASR-L
The Nerf Fortnite BASR-L is a bolt-action sniper rifle-style blaster that can fire six darts. It has the unique feature of being able to fire in both single and slam mode, which is unusual for a rifle-type weapon.
The Fortnite BASR-L is not as impressive as other Nerf sniper rifles, but it has a smooth priming and firing mechanism. It also has a visually appealing design, in my opinion.

5. Nerf Fortnite Heavy SR
The Nerf Fortnite Heavy SR is a sniper rifle-style blaster that is ranked second on the list of best Nerf Fortnite guns. It is newer than the BASR-L and is also larger and heavier in appearance.
The Heavy SR has an intimidating design, resembling a real sniper rifle with its size and boldness. It also has a fantastic color scheme. Similar to the BASR-L, it has a magazine that holds six darts, but instead of regular darts, it fires Mega darts.
In my opinion, the BASR-L is a better choice than the Heavy SR due to its superior performance and lighter weight.

6. Nerf Fortnite Pump SG
The Nerf Fortnite Pump SG is a pump-action shotgun-style blaster that was released in the first half of 2021. It has a firing capacity of one dart and comes with four Fortnite Mega darts included.
The Fortnite Pump SG can only fire one dart. Why do I like it? That’s a good question. I appreciate it for its simplicity, mechanics, and looks. The blaster looks fantastic, which adds to the fun. Also, the priming and firing mechanism feels very sturdy.
The Fortnite Pump SG is not a high-performance Nerf shotgun. It can only hold one dart, which limits its effectiveness. There are better options available if you are looking for a Nerf shotgun. However, the Pump SG can still provide entertainment.

7. Nerf Fortnite Compact SMG
The 2022 Compact SMG is a semi-automatic flywheel blaster that operates on four AA batteries and has an internal dart clip capable of holding up to eight darts.
The Compact SMG has a unique appearance that may be appealing to some and not to others. Personally, I find the bold design and bright red color to be quite attractive.
The darts can be loaded into the internal magazine at the bottom of the blaster, requiring the blaster to be turned around. This method may be considered unusual and slow, but it is easy to adapt to. The firing process, involving the rev and the trigger button, is smooth, and the overall performance is satisfactory.
